My last post was a bit more than 5 weeks ago and i think it’s been the longest i went without writing something here. Anyway, it’s my blog and it’s never too late to write so here are some of the major events then happened during this period…

Semester 2 exam
I had my exam one day after my last post. I hate the fact that the exam time is never enough for those exams that require lots of writing (essay/short answers). It’s writing all the way from start to end and sometimes it feels like if i pause to think, i’ll be losing my marks from not having enough time to finish answering. My right hand always feels abused after ever non-calculation exam. Anyhow, i felt a bit better about this sem’s final and although i knew that i was only 1 mark away from the next best grade when my results came out 3 weeks later i was still overall satisfied. Classes for my third sem started even before my results were out and because it’s sort of a short/summer semester, everything is squeezed into a much tighter packed semester. Bad news is that i have less time in between assignments and my up coming final exam is a week before chinese new year. cock!

Penang
I was over at Penang in one of the weekends after the long wait (I bought the ticket in July this year). To be honest there aint a whole lot more places to shop there compared to Kuching so most of the time i was just going places, looking for food. My top priority was the cendol (mission accomplished!) but other than that i got to try the indian ox tail soup, super delicious dim sum, prawn mee, loh mee, curry mee, lok-lok, some roti-canai look alike wrap with hot-dog and cheese, J. Co baby donuts, Winter Warmer afternoon tea, Char Siew Puff and Paddington HOP Pancakes!

Cendol

That’s all it has been for the past 2 weeks. It was as if my house was turned upside down because of some renovations that had to be done, all because of my current state of health. My house aint that big and imagine having to move all of the stuff from upstairs to downstairs. There was only like one lane of walkway around the house and we had no proper place to sleep, especially me. I didnt get to sleep well because of that and furthermore, i had to wake up early in the morning before the workers get here. Throughout the day, there’s not much space to sit and so i walk around helping out, occasionally just lying on the floor out of exhaustion. It was awful to look for things because everything is so ‘rojak-ed’ up in piles that it’s impossible to remember where did i put what. So thanks to that, my phone, ipod and notebook ran out of juice and it was a pain getting to my underwear.

It didnt end there, after all the work was done, we had to move everything back. And today, im still not done. So much for tying to enjoy my last two weeks of ‘holiday’ before i start waking up super early everyday and getting paid for work. One plus side to all these though, i get to repaint, rearrange my room which i always love to do. Something i did without fail when i used to feel real sad after sending someone off.

New two tone

I was at the airport last night to pick up my dad. I got there a bit earlier so i thought i’ll park by the road side and wait. Suddenly, i saw blue lights flashing and sirens coming from behind. The police car parked right behind my car and started honking like as if there’s no tomorrow, obviously asking me to move.

Sometimes i do wonder why can’t we wait beside the road. They can’t expect us to arrive right on time, just as soon as the people we’re picking up walk out the arrival hall. Yeah i know there is a car park but what’s wrong with waiting by the road. I mean, the road in front of the arrival hall is like 6 lanes and last night, it wasn’t packed at all. I would understand if the place was overflowing with cars and having people park by the road is obstructing the traffic. Sides, i parked so far away from the main entrance i was practically the only one there at that area. So what’s the freaking problem? Am i damaging state property (the road) because my car too heavy?

So f*king far away rite?

That’s not the end ok.
