My Maiden Post

Greetings! Welcome to my blog :)

This is my third attempt at starting a blog. The first was quite a number of years ago when blogging wasnt even that popular yet. It was an online diary service (i cant even remember the site anymore). It died after a few posts. Second try was with blogger, took forever to choose my blog address and blog skin and by the time i was done, i got fed up with the whole thing already :P Need to mention that it had only O-N-E post…so sad.

Anyway, onto present time. Almost everyone has a blog today and we even rely on blogs to update/’kepo’ ourselves on other people’s life. It is another way for us to communicate. To me however, i think blogs are like time machines because they allow us to look back in time. I always enjoy reading my friends’ blog archives and recalling all the bitter sweet memories. Therefore, I’ve decided to give it another go and blog for the sake of recording down my legacy so that in the future my children can know what…. Actually i blog because im bored la and if it so happens i find something more interesting to do…then this would be my thrid dead blog.

It took me quite sometime to write my first post because it is T-H-E first post. It’s supposed to be exciting and important. Just like your first day at school or at work or your first girl/boy friend. Haha. All these plus having my friends pestering me about when im gonna write my first post, it did make me a little intimidated so screw you guys for the pressure i love u guys. Hey, anyone watches southpark? I love how eric cartman would say “Screw you guys……im going home…” when he loses a fight or argument. LoL

Oh, i should explain the reason behind my blog title – Fly Me to the Moon. Well,

1. I really dream of flying to the moon (even though im afraid of flying). Who wouldnt want to? Great view from wayyyyyyy up there rite.

2. I think all of us should go there. Why? Because im sure it will change our perspectives on life. All of us always fret the small stuff. We complain about the most ridiculous thing, we’re always busy finding excuses and most of the time we’re never thankful for what we have and always taking advantage of the people around us. All of us live on a huge island – earth and compare that to the infinite ends of the universe, we really are nothing. There’s a saying in hokkien “Cannot even compare leg hair” LoL! Of course i dont mean literally comparing ourselves to the universe and since we are nothing, then just sit down and do nothing, NO. It’s just that, i guess if we use it the correct way, it’ll definitely change the way we look/deal with things. Whether it’s to give a little more love, be more thankful for our blessings or to stop us from get stressed out over stupid things. I admit, i do take advantage of my blessings and sometimes it seems like i always want something more/better and i complain too much…but we’re humans and we’re not perfect, so it’s ok…as long if we make an effort to not make this habit get any worst.

On another note, the past half year has been filled with loads of ups and downs, a journey that brought me to heaven and hell and along the way i made wonderful new friends, caught up with old ones and gained new experiences, definitely an eye opener for me. :) I really hope that this blog will stay alive long enough for me to fill you guys in on the past and what’s in store for me ahead!
